Is it hard for you to love?  The best way to understand how can be found in the scriptures. We toss this term Love around a lot but do we know what them means in the biblical sense. To know Love, we need to understand Who is Love?

John 1: 1 says that "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

This is further explained in 1 John 4:16, where it says that God is Love, and all who live in Love lives in God, and God lives in them.  So, to answer the question of Who is Love, it is God. The scripture tells us that, "Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love."
1 John 4:8. Jesus summarized all of scripture into two commands about Love: "Love God with all your heart, soul, and mind; and love your neighbor as yourself in Matthew 22:34-40 "All the Law and the Prophets," Jesus explained, "hang on these two commandments."

The point of this is if you have never experienced or felt Love, the fullest of Love, you might develop a closer relationship with Christ and his word. In the accompanying podcast "Acting in God's Word," I discuss the different types of Love and how they can break strongholds of hate and bondage.
